Mouth Fungus - Saddleback Disease
Symptoms
signature of this disease is a rise in the skin between gill cover and dorsal fin, along with a milky appearance to scales which then quickly ulcerates and encircles the body
Infected areas may develop into red ulcers and infect the gills, causing rapid loss of life
Organic treatment of fish
remove infected fish to hospital tank dosed with 1 tablespoon Replenish per 10 gallons water
do not raise the temperature of the water
treat with Organic Control as directed
extend treatment if needed
if symptoms continue follow with medicinal treatment
Medicinal treatment of fish
remove infected fish to hospital tank dosed with 1 tablespoon Replenish per 10 gallons water
do not raise the temperature of the water
treat as directed with First Round
if symptoms continue do 50% water change in a hospital tank and repeat treatment
Original tank treatment
(if infected fish were moved to hospital tank)
do 60% water change another day for a total of three water changes
