Bacterial, Open, Red Sore Disease

Symptoms

• hazy or slimy red patches appear on the bodies of fish

• open red sores are visible

• fish may scratch on objects and gravel

• fish will exhibit rapid breathing

• fins are clamped tight not displayed out

Organic treatment of fish

• remove infected fish to a hospital tank

• do not raise the temperature of the water

• treat with Organic Control as directed

• extend treatment if needed

• if symptoms continue follow with medicinal treatment

Medicinal treatment of fish

• remove infected fish to a hospital tank

• do not raise the temperature of the water

• treat as directed with First Round

• if symptoms continue do a 50% water change in a hospital tank and repeat treatment

Original tank treatment
(if infected fish were moved to hospital tank)

• do 60% water change other day for a total of three water changes
